With experienced, fresh eyes, we'll go through your home, inside and out, to find what needs to be cleaned and repaired, removed and rearranged.  Our friendly home stager knows the importance of "curb appeal" and how an exterior facelift can lead to a speedy sale.  Inside your home, we know how to maximize the use of space by rearranging furniture and eliminating clutter.  Having your home staged by élan in a tasteful, stylish manner will persuade potential buyers to say to themselves, "This is where I want to live."

"'When there are more homes on the market, there's a real advantage in staging a home,' said Elizabeth Colt, a principal with élan, a Denver-based staging company that also provides event planning, closet organizing and personal shopping services.

'Having the property be more competitive and more cutting edge over the house for sale next door gives sellers a leg up on what they can do with their pricing,' said Colt, who said she's seen business pick up in recent months.

Prices for Colt's staging service start at $500 to $1,000 for a single day of cleaning and rearranging furniture.

She might take a client shopping to buy a few items like designer towels or fresh flowers to spruce up the house.

For larger projects, Colt said she might spend a week working on a home.

She occasionally clears the furniture out of a house and brings in rental furniture to create a different atmosphere.  She estimates that staging a home can add 5 to 10 percent to its price."  full story
